About Me

For over two decades, children have been at the heart of everything I do. I’ve worked in early years settings, supported schools, created activities and resources, developed training, written content, organised events, supported families through EHCPs and CAMHS referrals, and spent years helping businesses create environments and experiences that genuinely work for children.

Professionally, I’ve built courses around SEND, behaviour, ADHD, food and nutrition, emotional regulation and play. I’ve written for publications including Nursery World and I’m the author of Through the Child’s Eyes — a project born from my belief that children deserve to be understood, not just managed.

But honestly?

Some days my biggest achievement is drinking a cup of tea before it goes cold.

Because alongside all of the professional experience, I’m also a mum to two incredible children, both with additional needs. And whilst I never want SEND or single parenthood to become my entire identity, it is part of my everyday life. The beautiful parts, the exhausting parts, the hilarious parts and the “I’ve just had a fork launched at my head whilst someone screams because I peeled the banana wrong” parts.

A lot of parenting content online can feel either perfectly polished or relentlessly negative. Real life usually sits somewhere in the middle.

This space isn’t about pretending I have all the answers. It’s more of a creative outlet. A place to share the reality of raising children, supporting neurodivergent needs, navigating systems, trying to regulate yourself whilst someone pours water over your laptop, and occasionally laughing because if you don’t laugh, you’ll probably cry into a family-sized bag of crisps.

I care deeply about children. I always will.

But I also care about the parents and carers quietly holding everything together behind the scenes.

So whether you’re here for practical ideas, honest reflections, child development insights, SEND support, humour, solidarity, or just reassurance that somebody else’s day also descended into chaos because the toast was cut “too triangle-y” — you’re very welcome here.

Natasha’s contribution to Action for Children’s ‘Growing Challenge’ campaign has been exceptional. Her creativity, warmth, and deep understanding of family engagement shone through in everything she crafted for us. Natasha thoughtfully designed the activities to inspire, educate, and connect with families—blending practical parenting tips, imaginative activities, and healthy recipes in a way that felt both accessible and empowering.

Her ability to weave storytelling with actionable ideas created a campaign that was not only informative but truly joyful. The content was beautifully aligned with our mission to support children and families, and Natasha’s support has made a meaningful impact on our work. We are incredibly grateful for her generosity, professionalism, and the heart she brought to this project.” — Sam Jones, Regional Corporate Manager, Action for Children
